Air in Nike

Have you ever heard of Nike air max shoes or Nike Air Force 1? Those are Nike shoes applied with a special technology- Nike air.

What would it feel with air in your shoes? In the following paragraph we will make it known to you all.

The principle

Knowing the principle will make it easier for you to understand what on earth this technology is.
The air technology is a special gas encapsulated strongly into tough synthetic rubber of air cushion. The key factors lead to the successful of this technology lies in the air cushion. The inserted special gas volume is greater than the slight gap of synthetic rubber that the gas have no chance to leak out. And the air absorbing external vibration and pressure, then quickly restoring back to original appearance, at the same time prepared for the next shock, what`s more, it will not wear out as the life cycle of shoe goes.

The invention
It is Frank Rudy who first put forward the principle-to use inflatable air cushion to enhance the shock of athletic shoes, and one year later, Nike air came out and brought about a revolution in sports shoes. And it was the first air technology developed at Nike; it remains the standard in impact protection more than 20 years after its debut.

The advantages
Durable: it will not wear out as the life cycle of shoe goes.
Versatile: it is famous of its comfortable could be used in varies kinds of sports shoes.
Stability: provide users with better stability and control while moving around.

Where to Go Camping in France's Loire Valley

There's something for everyone in the Loire Valley, and there are few better ways of exploring the area than from one of the region's many campsites. The Loire is home to many châteaux, the legendary Futuroscope and plenty of vineyards. There's enough here for families, couples or groups to fend off boredom indefinitely in the region, but where should they camp? Here's a guide to camping in France's Loire Valley...

Camping Parc de Fierbois

The sheer range of activities makes Camping Parc de Fierbois one of the very best campsites in the Loire Valley. Visitors can enjoy the 250 acres of parkland, hire bikes and explore the local area, play a relaxing round of mini-golf or enjoy the large number of waterslides and attractions at the pool complex. The family friendly fun extends into the evenings in high season when karaoke, discos and live music become the evening's highlights. Adults can get away from it all too, with a relaxed drink in the spacious bar terrace in the evening.

Chateau des Marais

If you're looking for a quiet, pretty campsite that's safe for young families, you can't go wrong with Château des Marais. The site has been awarded the Michelin 'three red tent' accolade and is in an outstanding position, nestled between the river Loire and Château de Chambord. There is plenty of space for energetic children to make the most of, and a variety of daytime entertainment during high season.

As is usual for campsites in the Loire Valley, and in France as a whole, the swimming pool is truly fantastic. It consists of a large indoor pool, a smaller pool for children, plus fun waterslides that the children will take great pleasure in racing down time and time again!

Camping la Grenouillére

If a sporty Loire Valley campsite is what you are looking for, then Camping la Grenouillére will be ideal. For the more energetic, the fantastic facilities, including floodlit tennis courts, volleyball, archery and football are second to none. If you are looking for a more relaxed holiday, why not try your hand at fishing in the château moat? You will also find a lovely swimming pool complex which has a jacuzzi and sauna as well as the great swimming pools and water slides.

Sologne Parc des Alicourts

One of the best examples of camping in France's Loire Valley is the wonderful campsite at Sologne Parc des Alicourts. The phrase "something for everyone" has become clichéd, but this campsite in the Loire Valley really does offer just that. This family-run campsite has earned the prestigious Michelin 'four red tents' award for its facilities and quality, and offers a fantastic, natural setting, with its glorious lakeside location in the heart of the Loire's rural countryside. The pools have all the features of the others including pools and waterslides, but this site also has a luxury spa, Turkish Bath, massage area and fitness centre ensuring that there is always plenty to keep you entertained whilst on site.

For sports, this site has a large range of activities. There is a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, football, fishing, archery and even horseriding. In the evening, enjoy some of the most outstanding onsite entertainment. In short, Sologne Parc des Alicourts offers everything a campsite in the Loire Valley should, plus a lot more besides.

Camping in France's Loire Valley is ideal whether you are looking for a short break away or a longer holiday. The campsites are around a days drive from most of the ferry ports and easily accessed from the motorways, Beautiful natural surroundings, the many local attractions and outstanding facilities mean that campsites in the Loire Valley are amongst the very best in France.

Creative Wedding Shower Ideas - Couple's Showers Don't Have to Cause Your Fiance to Cringe

More and more the trend is leaning towards including your fiance in your wedding shower. Wedding showers have been centered around all sorts of themes to include both couple's tastes. Choose activities that encourage interactions between your guests to make it interesting for both male and female guests. And this doesn't mean playing silly games if that isn't your cup of tea.

No, there are more creative ways to throw a wedding shower. For example, if you have a good sized kitchen, why not throw a cooking shower party? Ask everyone to purchase gifts that can be used in the kitchen. Perhaps center it around a fun food like pizza where everyone can get involved with creating the dough for their own pizza. Have everyone choose from a variety of toppings, or even ask everyone to bring something from their own fridge as an unusual topping. If you're hosting the shower, but don't want it at your home, you can look for places around that teach cooking classes or some that show you how to make pre-made dinners. Hire them to come to your home or go to where they teach for the evening, to lead the guests through a few dishes and cooking techniques accompanied by appetizers you have made ahead of time. Follow with the dinner you and your guests have made. So it won't be too long of an evening or overwhelming, buy the dessert and have your guests eat while opening your gifts. Yum-m so much fun!

A wine and cheese party is another fun idea. Hire someone from a wine bar that can educate your guests on the way wine and food interact. A great activity is to do a blind taste testing of wines, lining the wines up with paper bags on them for a light hearted party. Have your guests taste and guess the type of wine, the nose & color, price range and assign points to each category they get right. The person that gets the most right, gets a bottle of wine as a gift.

Perhaps the couple is outdoorsy or sports-minded. If you live in an area with good weather, you could plan a fun shower outside with a pick-up game of softball, soccer, or volleyball along with a BBQ. Or, how about a mini-hike? Invite the guests to wear comfortable shoes and clothes, and to show up at the beginning of an easy but beautiful hiking trail. At the end of the trail, have a table set-up with food and drink. Just remember to follow park regulations and have a plan to clean up after yourself. At the end of the shower, you could even send the guests home with a nice favor of foot cream or bath salts.

Remember, games are not what make a party fun and in fact, most people cringe at the thought of them. If you set the stage for friends and family to simply enjoy chatting with each other, everything will run smoothly. Provide food that is appropriate for the time of day you're throwing the shower and be sure to provide at least one alcoholic beverage and one non-alcoholic beverage.

These are just a few ideas, let your creative juices flow and I am sure you can come up with the perfect couples' shower to fit the couple's personalities.

Get Fit - Get the Right Shoes

Getting fit means getting moving. But before you hit the gym, the road, or even the trail, make sure you get the right shoes.

By choosing the right shoe for the activity, you are giving your feet the proper support to do the job. You are also more likely to avoid problems like sore feet or knees or a sprained ankle.

Running shoes are made with plenty of cushioning in the heel area. That's because for most runners, the heel is the first point of impact with the ground. This extra cushioning takes the pressure off the heels. And there is lot of pressure because when you run, you are applying at least two times your body weight onto your feet.

With running shoes, the heel end should be higher off the ground as compared to other fitness shoes because of the extra cushioning.

Running shoes are made for forward moving, rather than side to side, so the upper part will be quite flexible to allow the foot to roll smoothly from heel to toe.

Don't use running shoes for activities involving side to side action like aerobics or court sports. You're inviting an injury like a sprained ankle.

Walking shoes are similar to running shoes in their basic construction and support. They will have less cushioning in the heel because there is less impact when walking. The top part of a walking shoe is often made with more leather and less mesh to keep your feet more stable.

Walking shoes often have a slight curve on the outer sole allowing you to roll off your toes when walking. Since walking shoes are less cushioned and heavier than running shoes, avoid using them for running.

Cross trainers got their name because they can be used across a wide range of activities. They are an all purpose shoe perfect for court activities or aerobics.

They tend to be stiffer generally with a lot less flexibility in the upper part of the shoe and they sit lower to the ground. This protects you when moving side to side.

If you plan to use them on a treadmill or for step classes find a model with more cushioning in the toe area.

Stick to hiking boots when using a trail or walking on uneven ground. They have a stiffer sole and the upper part of the boot is designed for stability. The higher cuff around the ankle area and the reinforced area across the front of the boot protects you from rolling your foot or ankle. Treads give you lots of traction on rough terrain even when it's wet.

Having the right shoe will ensure that your fitness doesn't get derailed by injury.

Discovering Orlando's Historic Downtown Neighbourhoods and Parks

Downtown Orlando offers a welcome reprieve from the purpose-built areas to the south-west of the city that have been created solely to accommodate tourists. In fact, many of the historic downtown neighbourhoods are beautiful, offer a great variety of architecture, and give you a feeling of community where regular people actually live and work.

Right around the downtown core are a number of beautiful neighbourhoods that lend themselves nicely to exploration on foot. Some of the streets are cobble-stoned, making them the perfect destination for a neighbourhood walk.

After visiting Loch Haven Park, on this grey and drizzly day, we decided to drive south, park our vehicle and explore some of the central neighbourhoods on foot. We parked in Lake Cherokee Park, walked all the way around the lake and delighted in admiring the upscale architecture and the wildlife on the lake.

Bird lovers are able to see a great variety of water birds right in the middle of town and we observed one waterbird, as it sat quietly and then catapulted its head forward to catch its winged prey, all within a split second...

On this misty day the atmosphere was even a bit mysterious, with Spanish moss hanging down from ancient oak trees. You could almost see mist drifting off the lake. One of the interesting features of Orlando are its lakes, more than 300 of them, that can be found throughout the entire city, and many of them are equipped with facilities and public parks.

We carried on from Lake Cherokee to Lake Lucerne, which is immediately south of Orlando's downtown core. Several fountains adorn the middle of the lake and you get a perfect view of downtown Orlando's architecture.

Orlando has a surprising number of public parks with special facilities that provide recreational opportunities for local residents as well as tourists. With the help of the City of Orlando's website I have compiled a list of some of the special outdoor public spaces that Orlando has to offer. These places include a very reasonably priced golf course, Loch Haven Park - Orlando's center of culture and science, the Dickson Azalea Park, a variety of wetland areas, an ecology center, camping and more. In one word, public spaces that offer free or inexpensive recreational and educational opportunities:

Lake Cherokee is bordered by a 3.8 acre scenic park and surrounded by the Lake Cherokee Historic district, a residential neighborhood with architecture representing virtually every significant period of Orlando's history.

Lake Eola Park is a popular destination in the downtown area, with many people taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings to walk at lunch or in the evenings. The sidewalk that circles the lake is .9 miles in length, making it easy for visitors to keep track of their walking or running distances. Other activities available to park visitors include renting ($10 for ½ hour) swan-shaped paddle boats, feeding the live swans and other birds inhabiting the park, being paddled around the lake on a romantic gondola cruise (www.gondola.com), seeing a concert or a play in the Walt Disney Amphitheater, watching the children play in the playground, grabbing a bite to eat at The Terrace on Lake Eola or relaxing amid beautiful flower beds and a spectacular view of Orlando's skyline.

Orlando Loch Haven Park covers 45 acres and serves as the region's premier cultural park. Nestled between three lakes, Lake Estelle on the north, Lake Rowena on the east, and Lake Formosa on the south, the park is located on North Mills Avenue and Princeton Street. The park was renovated in February 2001. With the many museums or theatre groups located in the park, there is always something new to see or do. The lawn areas in the center portion of the park are wonderful places to sit and enjoy the lake views shaded by majestic oak trees. One of Central Florida's oldest and largest oak trees, "The Mayor", grows in the park near Orlando's Mennello Museum of American Folk Art.

Located just minutes from downtown Orlando, Dubsdread Golf Course features the oldest public layout in the area, originally designed in 1923. This classic course has plenty of history attached to it as the former site of the Orlando Open, when it hosted such golf legends as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Claude Harmon. Today, golfers are treated to the same beautiful scenery and challenges of the original course, including narrow fairways and heavily bunkered greens. A full restaurant and bar complete the ultimate golfing experience. Dubsdread is also the home of the Dubsdread Golf Learning Center, a full service teaching facility. Visit "http://www.historicaldubsdread.com" for more information.

The Mayor Carl T. Langford Neighborhood Center provides a natural oasis in downtown Orlando. The center is located in a shady oasis of mature oaks, wide sidewalks, green lawns, birds, butterflies and plenty of room for the kids to play. Young children will love the swinging bridge over the creek and the playground . There are a great deal of educational and fun nature programs offered in this beautiful neighorbood center. It offers a yearly summer nature and art camp, as well as family and corporate picnics at a reasonable rate. The Mayor Carl T. Langford Park is a beautiful place to have a quaint wedding ceremony at an affordable rate. The Central Florida Folk, Inc. performs the second Sunday of each month through fall and spring.

The Wetlands Park is a great place to come out, relax and enjoy nature. The most popular activities are bird-watching, nature photography, jogging and bicycling. Nature enthusiasts will be greeted by 1,650 acres of hardwood hammocks, marshes and lakes. There are over 20 miles of roads and woodland trails crisscrossing the Park.

Experience a walk through time as you meander along Fern Creek in historic Dickson Azalea Park located across the street from the City of Orlando's Mayor Carl T. Langford Park. The Washington Street Bridge was constructed in 1926 and is reflective of many bridges found in South Florida. The lush landscaping, singing birds and flowing water are a treat to many visitors. This park is an oasis for those needing a quiet place to eat lunch or to reflect when this area was a watering hole years ago for cattle ranchers to quench the thirst of their cattle in Ferncreek. The dragonflies, shady trees and quietness of Dickson Azalea Park are a must see for people of all ages to experience.

Enjoy a day of family fun and play in the City of Orlando's beautiful 300-acre Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. Open year-round, seven days a week this park has something for everyone. A swimming pool is open for those hot summer days, large pavilions for huge group picnics are available for rent and small sun shelters for family gatherings are available on a first come first serve basis. The well stocked lake for fishing is tempting to all anglers from novice to experienced. A children's farm is on-site as a remnant of the farm era of the property. The Ecology Center has an air conditioned meeting room. The camping area is a reasonably priced destination for people from all over the U.S. and the world who visit Orlando and area attractions. Another area has bunk houses and grills for those nature based group retreats or chaperoned youth groups. Park visitors are offered a wide variety of nature-oriented activities including: hiking, baseball / softball, volleyball, biking, and large playground for the kids. Feel free to take advantage of our Youth Group rates, Family Pass and Individual Pass.

As you can see, in addition to theme parks, Orlando offers a surprising variety of inexpensive family fun and recreational opportunities off the beaten path that offer interesting things to explore for the whole family.

Women's Swimwear - Five Ways to Protect Your Bikinis From the Effects of Chlorine and Chemicals

When I lived in Hawaii for five years, I lived in my bikinis. I snorkeled, swam, played sand volleyball, and went scuba diving several days a week. Harmful chemicals never destroyed my beloved Brazilian bikinis, since they were only acclimated to the ocean's salt water, and I rinsed my suits constantly.

However, when I returned to the mainland and taught water aerobics, swim classes, and swam in public pools to keep fit, I noticed that my swimsuits were disintegrating at a rapid rate; all due to chlorine and chemicals that had a corrosive effect on the swimwear's fabric.

Chemicals in public pools are excellent for keeping bacteria away, and helping to counteract diseases that could be infectious. But chlorine and chemicals have a detrimental effect on swimwear fabric. To prolong the life of your precious bikinis, and to protect them from disintegrating too fast, here are five ways that will make your swimsuits last longer and look better.

1. Be very selective when choosing a bikini to buy; don't skimp on the cost if you spend a lot of time in a chlorinated pool. Look especially for suits that have a one-year guarantee. Many good name brand swimsuits will last only for six weeks, if you swim two or three times a week in a chemical-laden pool.

2. Look for companies or swimwear manufacturers that make suits out of polyester, since the fabric holds up much better and lasts longer than non-polyester brands because it can tolerate chemicals.

3. Before you wear your swimsuit or bikini for the first time, make sure that you pour vinegar in a small tub and then soak your swimsuit in it for twenty-four hours. Rinse the suit well and let it dry. The vinegar preserves the color of the suit, so it won't fade.

4. After your swimming session in a chlorine pool, thoroughly rinse your suit in cool water mixed with baking soda. That mixture will preserve your bikini's elasticity. There's nothing worse than putting on your swimsuit and discovering that the leg holes have enlarged, or that the bra top drapes over your breasts instead of clinging to them.

5. Always remember to line dry your suit after rinsing it, and never attempt to launder your suit by placing it in a washing machine or a dryer. You will surely ruin your suit, and the fabric won't last very long, since the spin cycle of a washer will reduce the elasticity in the suit's fibers.

When you follow these five simple guidelines, your bikini or swimsuit will not lose its color or elasticity. Another thing to check for when you're examining your swim suit after wearing it and cleaning it for several months is that the fabric isn't getting thin in the seat area. Nothing's more embarrassing than wearing a worn suit that everyone else can see through while you're wearing it. In fact, ask someone at the pool-preferably a friend-if your suit looks worn in the rear. Then, if you're smart, and have planned ahead, you can slip into the locker room and change into the other swimsuit you brought along as a backup.

Be Careful While Picking Little Girls Shoes

Most mothers spend thousand of dollars buying shoes for their little girls, but all they see at the end of the day is a useless and uncomfortable pair of shoes, just another which keeps lying in the cupboard until their daughters are out of the age of wearing them and at last they have to dump them somewhere. All this does nothing good but only results in the loss of money, energy and time. The best way to pick shoes for little girls is to make sure what things are important for your purchase; is it the comfort of your little girl or is it the beautiful pair that counts the most. Well, most mothers I know would definitely want both for their girls.

In order to avoid a useless purchase of shoes, be careful while picking little girls shoes. Your first and most important priority should be the comfort that they offer. Make sure that the pair of shoes you are buying offers highest comfort level. A comfortable pair of shoes will have cushion padding at all sides, along with the cushioning underneath the heel and the forefeet. This will help you little angel to walk easily.

If you are looking for specific shoes for instance for ballet or jazz dance, then along with your priority of comfort nature, also see how are they designed to meet the needs of the specific purpose that they have been claimed to be made for. When picking ballet and jazz shoes, you need to see if they have pre-attached strap included with them. This pre-attached strap is essential because it fits the foot in the shoe and prevents it from coming out during the dance. Ideal ballet shoes will also be in the style of slip-on, especially when made for little girls. This avoids hassle and offers easy wearing and easy taking off.

If you are picking party shoes for your little girl, be careful about the sole. The shoes with rubber sole will help her to have a proper balance and thus avoid slip on the slippery floors. Whether they are with heels or without heels, they should be comfortable padded and light in weight so that she does not feel tired at the end of the day.

NFL Sports Merchandise - Personalized NFL Jersey

Football game is a popular game in the U.S and number of supporters doubly increases for each season.

With the growing number of fans and supporters enormously growing, NFL sports merchandise also grows leaps and bound.

We can see NFL sports merchandise like NFL key chains for drivers, NFL ashtray for smokers, and NFL laptops for tech gadget lovers. There is also NFL jackets, hats, replica jerseys and personalized NFL jersey.

With all the sports goodies mentioned, the last one is the most favorite among fans because it can create more statement than the others.

As you see, not all fans has wheels to drive, not all are smokers and some had already own a laptop so the best merchandise is something that you can actually wear whether in the stadium or outside of it.

But though NFL jackets, hats and replica jersey are something that you can wear, nothing can still compare to the feeling of being proud with your personalized NFL jersey.

Personalized NFL jersey is a good investment because this is a good way to show your support to your team plus the fact that it can be personalized to your preference.

You can put your name or number that is special to you or can also be the number of your favorite player in the team.

But aside from adding personal touch to the jersey, personalizing it will really save you lots of money.

As we know players are being traded or sometimes there are involved in controversies that will be a problem.

For instance your favorite player is traded to another team? What will happen to the NFL replica or authentic jersey that you bought few months ago? It means you cannot wear that NFL jersey again.

Another situation is what if the player who wears the jersey was involved in a scandal? Do you still want to wear the replica jersey of the one who had the scandal? Of course not, so what is the best thing to do?

Prana Yoga Clothing - A Review

Well, let's begin by asking what is different about Prana Yoga from the Yoga as we know it. The essentiality of this is emphasized for choosing the most suitable type of clothing, if otherwise; it would lead to using climbing pants, so to say, for prana yoga.

Prana stands for breath and the essence of prana yoga is in gaining control over breathing. This way prana also means life. Gaining over- the otherwise voluntary- breathing, mellows down heartbeats and pulse rate if practiced in quiet and serene ambience. Thus it is imperative to emphasize on features like breathability and flexibility of clothes.

Men's clothing for yoga is not much different from women's clothing barring the contour. At the same breath, one shouldn't get misled that everyday clothes can suffice for yoga as is the case with climbing pants or any climbing gear.

Look at some of the features. Prana clothing like pants and shirts need not be heavy and protective, so the fabric will be of, usually, nylon and spandex blended in favor of nylon. Yogo clothes may have a heavier inclination in favor of nylon than spandex, especially for yogo pants, while other brands go upto 60:40 ratio. But this is not always the case. Some clothes like T-shirts, pants and jackets may vary in fabric and fabrication.

Prana Yoga Clothing for indoors are simple and light weight with upto 97% cotton and only 3% spandex. These are quick drying, two-way stretchable, jersey knit for pull-on entry comfort. Jackets can have fur trim, satin lining, cargo pockets, and sometimes removable belts too.

But what do all these signify, particularly for the yoga practitioner in you? For one, prana yoga is never practiced outdoors and in fast successions, for both of them disturb body temperature and heartbeat/pulse. Good protection before and after the session and flexible, breathable but still warm clothing is essential during it. So what better gear than Prana Yoga Clothing made for the purpose?

All Aboard! Train Travel Around the World

Everything about trains evokes the true essence of travel. You not only see the landscape passing by, but can feel it rattling under your shoes. Trains are the best way to experience a long distance journey. Air travel is an abstraction; you're seated in a pressurized metal tube, and after a few hours of being out of touch with the world, land in a different continent. To go by bus or car means being strapped into a seat and left to the mercy of a driver. Train travel gives the passenger the freedom to roam the rumbling wagons while gazing out the window at the passing scenery. You can eat and wander about, snooze, and stare out the window. Train travel is freedom.

There's nothing like the moment when a train departs a station. Unlike the roar of a plane's take-off or the gunning of a bus's engine that marks the beginning of a journey, the departure of a train is a peaceful, unassuming start. Outside, the world begins to slowly roll by - baggage handlers wheeling their carts, travelers fleeing for their connections - and then the engine picks up momentum, the rhythm below your feet keeping pace with the passing scenery. Pedestrians wave at you, dreaming of where you could be bound. The wagon, your world, sways around you as the train takes a tight curve. Outside the clanging of a passing crossing signal grows loud, louder, before changing pitch as it quickly disappears.

Trains around the world are microcosms of the countries they serve. They reflect the economy and cultural norms of the nations they ply. To enjoy America's Amtrak you need to have money to afford the dining car and a private berth. England's train network, once the pride of the nation, is in decay, expensive and grungy. Russian trains, with a steaming samovar in each wagon, still harbor a bullying Soviet air of authority; an attendant is assigned to each wagon to scold passengers . Egyptian trains are manned by soldiers guarding against attacks by Muslim terrorists. The hustlers and touts found in every Indian city are concentrated on the nation's Taj Express that runs between Delhi and Agra eager to scam tourists out of their seats.

Train travel is slowly disappearing, a victim of the world's reliance on buses and taxis. Up until a half century ago Americans were able to reach the most remote of towns through an intricate network of spur lines. My mother could arrive to her tiny Kansas hometown from a distant college without relying on a vehicle. Now the spur lines are gone, torn up, or overgrown with weeds. Until recent years, Canadian trains allowed affordable transcontinental access, until the lines were privatized, and now a train trip through the Canadian Rockies is an expensive endeavor. In Mexico the passenger train network has disappeared, replaced by modern bus stations and affordable buses.

To enter a train station is often like stepping into a museum setting. Britain's smaller stations still harbor ladies' waiting rooms, a relic of earlier Victorian times, while in Thailand a uniformed officer in starched white linens bangs a large gong to announce an approaching engine.

Staring out a train window at the world speeding by is a hypnotizing experience. You experience the gradual cultural shift that occurs while traversing countries during a long sojourn. As a Russian train departs from Western Europe en route to St. Petersburg, the 21st century disappears somewhere in eastern Poland. Looking out a dirty window I spied leather-skinned farmers navigating horse-drawn plows. In the border town of Bialystok a gaggle of Slavic women, squat, toughened babushkas in head-scarves and heavy boots, gossiped amongst each other, or hawked snacks to passengers. Soon all sense of time disappeared as the train was swallowed into the vast birch and pine forests of Byelorussia.

Staring out the window of an Indian train, I grew fascinated with the traffic that lined up at the road crossings, waiting for our procession to pass. The train rumbled by a striped pole behind which waited bicyclists and idling motorcycles, farmers with their ox-carts old schoolbuses, the roofs crowded with sun-darkened men. A few smiled and returned my cheerful wave.

In Eastern Europe the numerous nations released under the yoke of the USSR now post their border guards and customs officials at every frontier crossing. The Russian train bound for St. Petersburg constantly stopped and started as it traversed the borders of Byelorussia, the Baltic states, and finally Russia. I studied the uniforms of the guards, the official colors, the missing buttons and frayed collars. From a neighboring compartment I could hear the protesting of a smuggler whose large stash of vodka and cigarettes had been uncovered. Later, when escaping Russia, a pair of strapping young Ukrainian guards eyed my passport curiously. 'Amerikanyets'. I had no transit visa for their country. Did I need one? They shrugged their broad shoulders. 'I dunno.'

I recall everyone who I've ever met on a train. I remember the two Norwegian girls and the young Czech man I met on a trip to Kansas. I sat in the dining car with an elderly woman who in an astounded whisper announced how she had been seated with a black man that very morning for breakfast. A dour old man still grieving for his long dead wife stared out the window as the Texas prairie rolled by outside.

In India a pair of teenaged girls stared amazed at a huge map of their country that I showed them. An Indian father traveling with his family to a wedding in Delhi tried to engage me in conversation, but his thickly accented English was incomprehensible. "What? Huh?" After a few conversations like this he finally grew frustrated at my puzzled looks and stared out the dirty window.

On a Russian train I shared a compartment with an obnoxious volleyball coach accompanying his team to a play-off in Byelorussia. When I had trouble closing the sliding door, he smirked. "Weak American."

I pointed at the stubborn door. "Russian door."

"It's an East German door. This is an East German train."

"What's the difference?"

And in northern Italy my brother and I shared a compartment with an elderly nun who resembled Mother Teresa's older sister. She was a wizened old creature, a mask of fury chiseled on her face from decades of punishing pupils. My brother grabbed my phrase book of various European languages, and began reciting random excerpts of Italian, and began asking the nun for her phone number. "Please . . . give me . . . your . . ."

The nun gave me a puzzled look as I quickly snatched the book from my brother's hands.

As the cost of fuel continues to rise, perhaps there is some hope for the future of train travel, which has proven to be an energy efficient means of getting from point A to point B. Amtrak reports increased numbers of travelers in recent months. In this world of break-neck speed communications and hyperactive schedules, a slow train ride across the frontier may be enough to save our sanity.

Triumph United Plays it Cool With Their Stylish MMA Apparel

The popularity of Triumph United as a competitive brand on the MMA circuit has grown considerably in recent months. The brand name itself inspires confidence for those who choose Triumph United shirts as part of the clothes they wear to UFC events and individual title matches. You don't even have to be a hardcore fan to appreciate the full color graphics and unique designs that Triumph puts out on a regular basis.

A company's quality can often be measured by the big names that are attracted as sponsors to the brand, people who believe in the products they wear as a part of their regular routine. In the case of Triumph, the list is impressive. Fighters like Rampage Jackson, Wanderlei Silva, Mayhem Miller, Razor Rob are just some of the people who support the brand, as well as UFC President Dana White and industry tattoo artist Roy Leyva.

Another factor in the success of Triumph United is the fact that their shirts, shorts, and hoodies often have a classic look about them, not relying on the dark themes, trendy skeletons, and hardcore "in your face" style that other brands have in common. Instead, a Triumph United shirt relys heavily on the tradition and prestige of the sport to create their own look, a look that appeals to those who take pride in MMA's historic past.

The end result is an attractive selection of quality apparel like the Triumph United Jits 3 T-Shirt, the Thai T-Shirt with its bold electric blue design, or the Manchester Hoodie featuring Triumph's own Fight League logo on the front. These items are as creative as they are original, and they give the impression of professionalism when worn by MMA fighters who are serious about their sport.

The 100% cotton apparel is built to last as well, never fading due to poor quality. They can be safely washed repeatedly witout fear of losing the luster that the Triumph United shirt has when originally purchased. There are also more than enough colors and styles to suit individual tastes. Their casual clothing still looks good enough to attract the attention of friends who ask the fateful question, "Where did you get that cool shirt?"

Comedian Nick Swardson is another Triumph advocate. Nick has been seen on Comedy Central wearing what is now the Official Nick Swardson Signature Tee, and both he and United share a mutual love for MMA competition. The shirt has another regal design that has allowed Triumph United to associate with more than just athletes, giving them the opportunity to spread the word about this special provider of men's and women's clothing for mixed martial arts fans.

Overall, Triumph United is a brand that allows their customers to create their own look, without all the hype and gimmicks that some of their competitors use to create market share and capture the imagination of a close-knit family of supporters. By paying attention to the most important details of style, selection, and quality products, they have assured themselves continued success in the years to come.

NFL Replica Jerseys - Way of Showing Support

Have you gone to watch live in the football stadium? Have you seen that general viewing public is wearing NFL jerseys, the authentic or NFL replica jerseys?

If both of your answer is yes to both questions, then you really loved seeing football. But the next question is do you own at least any of NFL jersey, authentic or replica jersey? If your answer to the last question is that "No, I don't own any authentic or NFL replica jersey," then, you are supporting your team half-baked.

Yes, it might be hard to admit but without any NFL sports merchandise especially a NFL replica jersey is not giving your full support.

It is really a great feeling of cheering and rooting for your team while wearing a NFL replica jersey. Even if you are in a rival stadium, you will walk and grin with a smile knowing that you are beaming with your team's pride. And another important reason of wearing your NFL replica jersey is the fact that you are united with other legions of fans out there that are like your family.

Yes, it is like a family emblem that each fan should wear every football season. Nothing can beat the feeling knowing that along with the team, you are one with "family of supporters" who does not falter in supporting the team.

NFL replica jerseys are not just a fad or a fashion statement. It is your way of publicly showing your loyalty and bravery like the players in the field. And this is really important for football players.

So, if until now, you still don't own NFL replica jersey, you should start scouting now to make it just in time for the next season.

Your next question maybe where to buy NFL replica jerseys? The answer is simple. You can choose either to buy in online sports site that offer NFL replica jersey or in any popular sports house that has complete array of various NFL replica jerseys.

Now, the next question is what kind of replica jersey will you buy?

Since NFL replica jersey not just shows support but it also shows a part of yourself so it is important that you choose the fit one.

In choosing NFL replica jerseys, you can try the jersey, which represent the player you really like supporting.

Or the most well liked player in the team is also a popular choice for replica jersey. But for those who are looking for an investment, it is highly acceptable that you choose a player that will not likely to leave the team in more than a couple of years.

Because if you buy a replica jersey then the player abruptly leaves and transfer to another team, it does not only mean that the football player ends the contract but it also mean that wearing the replica jersey is also over. So, better choose the one that will likely to stay in the team for long.

It is also a good choice to pick players that are behaving well in and out of the field because you may not want to wear a NFL replica jersey whose replica has scandalous affairs.
